Cherry Red, Artist

Having spent most of her life in a coastal city in Africa, Cherry has a deep appreciation for the beauty, cruelty, and cycles of nature. She has spent years working towards her realistic style of painting, and her subject matter often shows her love of wild creatures and wild places.

Now based in Banbury, she mainly produces paintings in acrylics and oil, with the occasional lino cut or sculpture. Whether inspired by a beautiful bird or a line of poetry, she attempts to capture a piece of our eternal conversation with the world around us.

Cherry’s work can be found at Church Lane Gallery and online at For works in progress and real-time artwork you can follow her on Facebook and Instagram.
