CHURCH LANE  GALLERY
Penny Dixon, Textile Artist
Penny Dixon

Penny Dixon is a Midlands-based textile artist whose work is shaped by close attention to natural forms and the quiet rhythms of the landscape. Working primarily in feltmaking, alongside weaving and other textile processes, she creates pieces that explore texture, colour and the gentle movement found in the natural world. With a Masters in Art, Health and Wellbeing, she is deeply interested in the stories people carry and how our lives interweave.

Her recent community-focused projects have involved listening to families during moments of challenge, transition and reflection, creating artworks that hold space for both tenderness and resilience. She also facilitates contemplative creative work with those processing profound loss, supporting them to honour memory through making.

Penny’s own pieces shift between vibrant energy and gentle calm, always made slowly by hand. She invites viewers to “join the slow revolution” and savour the beauty of time, care and connection.
