Jill is a Mathematician by training and background, Jill loves the satisfaction of solving a problem and getting the answer right. Somewhat counterintuitively, this is what brought Jill to Abstract Art. She loves that it just can't be wrong! There are no rules.

 

Jill Blakey is an intuitive artist. She paints with no plan, allowing her intuition to take over. Jill's paintings are often a real insight into her subconscious, with the painting inspiration being obvious afterwards despite never consciously having an "inspiration" for a piece. A lot of Jill's work has an urban undertone which is likely to be inspired by the 10 years Jill lived in South London.

 

Jill is now based in Buckinghamshire with her young family and she loves creating vibrant, happy artwork.
